“Culinary magic” - The New York Times
Spork was born in 2009 as a globally-inspired mobile streetfood kitchen housed in a 1962 Airstream Tradewind that sailed the streets and events of Central Oregon serving creative delicious global cuisine and was voted Best Chow Cart in Bend every year in the Source Reader Poll.
In 2013 we moved into a 50 seat (plus patio) brick and mortar casual counter service location on NW Newport Avenue (at 10th) in Bend that's open daily for lunch, dinner, and cocktails and aims to bring inspired food, drink, ambiance and hospitality to a casual setting.
Spork features the food of chef and co-owner Jeff Hunt and aims to deliver exciting and inspired delicious global eats. Jeff’s cuisine draws inspiration from travel and streetfood and is marked by his love of global food traditions and ingredients, attention to detail, studious palate, and years of experience. Jeff’s favorite dishes from across Latin America, Asia, and beyond are humbly covered and sometimes remixed.
Spork's one-and-only Bend location was created with the help of many local craftsmen, designers, builders, investors, and family. Guided by co-owner and hospitality maven Erica Reilly, along with a warm and dedicated team, Spork’s space (including a stylish 675 sq.ft. expansion of the dining room in 2015) is the product of years of dreaming, development and experience in collaboration with Piper Lucas Design, Gary Holbrook of HD Architecture and the beloved and brilliant general contractor Chris Veatch (Basalt Holdings). 2022 saw another expansion and remodel to double the size of our kitchen and expand the dining room
Spork also has a lovingly curated craft cocktail beverage program from Erica Reilly who draws from her years of experience on both sides of the bar and uses all housemade ingredients and daily fresh squeezed juices. Spork features a number of original and classic cocktails, delicious zero-proof options, a small selection of beer and wine, kombucha, cider, local coffees and teas, and a longtime favorite, yerba mate concoctions.
